The Fellowship is an integral part of the Orthopaedic Unit of the University of Melbourne (Western Health). The Fellowship is principally concerned with the teaching of orthopaedic aspects of shoulder and elbow surgery.
Dr Simon Gatehouse is a Brisbane-based surgeon specialising in adult and paediatric spinal surgery. He is directly involved in Australian registrar training and the training of international spinal surgeons.
This Fellowship will provide extensive training to recent orthopaedic graduates in the diagnosis and management of hip and knee arthroplasty, arthroscopy and the specialised osseointegration for above knee amputees.
Mr Tham specialises in hand and risk surgery at St Vincent’s Public Hospital in Melbourne and as a Senior Hand Surgery Consultant at Dandenong Hospital in Victoria, while maintaining a busy private practice.
Dr Walter has had a strong interest in hip and knee replacement surgery since the 1970s, when first undertaken in Australia. He is among the most respected surgeons in Australia.
Dr Radovanovic specialises in lower limb surgery including knee arthroscopy, ACL reconstruction, knee replacement, hip arthroscopy, hip surgery and sports injuries.
The Fellowship is to provide experience and training in total joint arthroplasty, training in navigation, seminars on complex and difficult cases and clinical discussions.
The Fellowship will provide experience in total hip and knee arthroplasty using the latest techniques with activities including patient consultation, surgical assisting, perioperative patient care and research.
