Orthopaedic Fellowship Information

The Fellowship is largely clinical with a heavy weighting towards knee surgery. Some flexibility exists to structure the Fellowship with additional exposure to hip and/or shoulder surgery. Significant exposure to adult hip surgery and arthroscopic shoulder surgery can be arranged with some flexibility depending upon the Fellow’s preferences. The Fellowship is based primarily in the private sector, which necessarily limits opportunity for the Fellow to operate independently. Depending on the level of expertise of the Fellow, some opportunity exists in the public sector to gain experience as the primary surgeon.

$60,000 pa

Minimum Requirements

Recently qualified orthopaedic surgeon (FRACS or equivalent)
Registered or eligible for registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency)
English language competency
