Dr Wood has approximately 25 years of practice experience and specialises in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the knee.

He has expertise in ligament reconstruction, patella disorders, knee and hip replacements and tibial osteotomy. Dr Wood also focuses on cartilage grafting procedures and repair of hamstring avulsion from the ischial tuberosity.

Dr Wood is the President of the Australian Knee Society, which aims to continue to advance the science, understanding and treatment of disorders of the knee.

He formerly chaired the NSW branches of the Australian Orthopaedic Association and the Australian Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Previously, Dr Wood was a member of the Federal Prostheses and Devices Committee, the Knee Prostheses Advisory Group, the Medical Services Committee of NSW and MSAC (Medical Services Advisory Committee).
