Dr Albietz exclusively consults and operates on all spinal conditions affecting the neck and lower back from disc prolapses causing sciatica to complex scoliosis or spinal tumour surgery in both adults and children.
After completing his Royal Australian College of Surgeons Fellowship in 2005, he travelled to Canada for further spinal surgical training for 18 months in Vancouver, British Columbia and then London, Ontario.
As well as running a busy private spinal surgery practice, Dr Albietz holds a position on the Wesley Medical Advisory Committee. He also works as part of the spinal injury unit at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and is involved in research and teaching of spine Fellows, registrars and medical students.
He provides an affordable and individualised focus towards the management of spinal conditions through his experience and knowledge of the latest surgical techniques. Dr Albietz also recognises the importance of referrals and works closely with other medical and non-medical spinal clinicians when non-surgical intervention is indicated.
