Mr Evans specialises in shoulders and knees with his practice encompassing all facets of knee and shoulder surgery, with particular interest in shoulder instability syndromes and rotator cuff surgery.
He attained his medical degree at The University of Melbourne in 1992 and subsequently completed his Orthopaedic Surgery training in Victoria, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2002.
In 2003, Mr Evans travelled to Boston, Massachusetts where he undertook subspecialty Fellowship training in knee surgery followed by a second Fellowship in London, England in 2004. This Fellowship focused on the shoulder, both arthroscopic and replacement surgery. Prior to returning to Melbourne to join the Melbourne Orthopaedic Group, he undertook a course in advanced Ilizarov frame technique in Italy.
Throughout his career, he has maintained an interest in orthopaedic research, with his work presented and published both nationally and internationally.
